SDCC 2011: Mattel’s WWE

Plastic joint is at comic-con once again and we won’t let you feel left out, so we will try to liveblog from all the major toy related panels at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (like last year). First up is Mattel and WWE teaming up once again to bodyslam you in a form of WWE action figures.

INTERVIEW: Bluefin corp.

You’ve probably seen them at Fanime and Anime Expo, a big Bandai booth selling tons of SH Figuarts, Super Robot Chogokins, and gundam kits. They were made possible thanks to the people of Bluefin Corp, and Plastic Joint has been curious about their operation for some time. So, we interviewed Xavier Lim from Bluefin about the beginning of Bluefin, plans for San Diego Comic-Con, and many more burning questions we had.

Many thanks to Xavier Lim and Bluefin Corp for this wonderful opportunity.

Review: Robo Damashii Crossbones Gundam X-1

(Thanks to Bluefin booth @ Anime Expo 2011)

Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam is a manga series which takes place ten years after the end of Gundam F91 movie, which also makes this manga direct sequel to the movie. In Crossbone Gundam manga, Jupiter Empire is hell bent on taking over the Earth with evil intent and force. Hmm, a pirate group fighting against a big empire… sounds like certain pirates we know took a page out of Crossbone Vanguard. In any case, Bandai made Robot Damashii version of all 3 Crossbone Gundams (X-2 and X-3 as well), but I will review X-1 for the time being.
