Review: Transformers Alternaty Convoy

(Many thanks to CapturedPrey.com booth @ Botcon)

If David Tennant can time travel, so can Optimus Prime.

Alternity is a spiritual successor to the Binaltech/Alternator line, in which the Transformers’ alternate mode was based on real-life car brand (as if old ones weren’t already). In this Transformers line, everyone has some sort of time-travel ability (even Bumblebee). Out of the all time-travel-formers, Convoy stands on top. With his Space-Destroying-Laser-Cannon-Of-DOOM, Convoy protects Megatron from conquering the universe and the entire time-line. Damn, that sounds ridiculously crazy already. Anyways, THE FIGURE!

Review: Figma King Kazuma

(Many Thanks to Toylet booth @ Fanime)

I have a policy when it comes to movies, and it’s the fact that I don’t cry at any movie. But sometime a movie comes so close, and I do mean SO CLOSE, to making me break that creed. Summer Wars was not only an action-packed movie, but it was also full of family-value with some sad parts here and there. So, consider this a short movie review as well: BUY, RENT, WHATEVER, SEE IT!!! One crucial part of Summer Wars was OZ, a cyber-world where everyday life was comprised of. It’s only natural that such badass gets figure treatment, as Figma, along with Love Machine.

Fanime 2011: Seiji Mizushima interview

Seiji Mizushima is the director of such popular anime titles as Fullmetal Alchemist and Gundam 00. He also directed Dai-Guard, one of the few underrated mecha anime of all time. I had a pleasure to sit down and ask him a few questions, including the one about the upcoming Super Robot Chogokin Dai-Guard figure.

Many thanks to Milton Le (Fanime Press Dept. head), for making this interview possible.

Fanime 2011: Toru Furuya interview

I had quite a honor interviewing one of the most iconic Japanese voice actor, Toru Furuya. Aside from being the voice of Amuro Ray from Mobile Suit Gundam, Mr. Furuya also voiced Tuxedo Mask, Pegasus Seiya, and most recently, AkaRed from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.

Many thanks to Milton Le (Fanime Press Dept. head), for making this interview possible.
